Webster is an Associate Professor of Chemistry in the College of Science at Virginia Tech, and was recently appointed as the Blackwood Junior Faculty Fellow of Life Sciences by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors. Webster's research focuses on the development of new drugs for cancer therapy. His laboratory is funded by the NIH, NSF and private
foundations.
He has received 7 patents and has published 34 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Webster received his bachelor's degree and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. His postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University from 2002 to 2006 was funded by a National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health.
