WILLIAM C. MONTGOMERY, 53, joined Apache’s board of directors in September 2011. Since July 2011, Montgomery has served as a managing director of Quantum Energy Partners, a private equity firm that focuses on investments in the energy and power industries, and is a member of Quantum’s executive and investment committees. Prior to joining Quantum,
Montgomery was a partner in the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. from October 2002 to April 2011, where he headed the firm’s Americas Natural Resources Group as well as its Houston office. During his 22 years as an investment banker, Montgomery focused globally on large cap energy companies primarily in the upstream, integrated, and oil service sectors.
Montgomery is a member of the board of directors of Enterprise Products Holdings LLC and several of Quantum's portfolio companies.
