Yoni Bloch is an Israeli musician and the co-founder and CEO of Eko, a technology company that designs, develops, markets and enables the creation of interactive videos.
A successful rock musician and performer with three top-selling records in Israel, Yoni has produced and recorded tracks for Israel's biggest artists; composed music for TV,
film and theater; and served as a judge in the Israeli version of “American Idol.”
Bloch and his band founded the company after they wanted to create a unique music video that fans would want to play over and over again. When they discovered that no technology existed that would support their vision of online seamless interactive play, the co-founders developed the interactive video technology themselves.
With Eko, Yoni has helped major music artists create interactive music videos, including Bob Dylan’s internationally acclaimed “Like A Rolling Stone”. Yoni has also worked with major acts such as Coldplay, Wiz Khalifa, Led Zeppelin, CeeLo Green and Aloe Blacc, as well as brands like Intel, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Subaru, MAC, NBC, Fox, ESPN, Sony Music Entertainment and Disney Music Group, to create interactive videos and ads using Eko’s technology.
Backed by Sequoia Capital, Intel Capital, NEA, Marker, MGM, Sony, Samsung and Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors, Eko recently launched Eko Studio, a self-service platform that allows anyone — from artists to major brands — to design and publish their own interactive videos.
