Zach Soflin, RA, is Founder and CEO of Layer where he leads company operations and product development. Layer is a multi-platform app and Revit add-in that makes it easy for architects and engineers to connect rich building data to BIM. Zach is a registered architect who spent nearly a decade practicing and leading computational design and
innovation initiatives before developing and bringing Layer to market.
Zach is a lecturer at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he teaches parametric modeling and its application in architecture to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral candidates. He speaks regularly about BIM and complex building data, including at AIA Conference on Architecture, BILT, AEC Tech Symposium, and the Association for Preservation Technology International Conference.
