Ryan Wuerch is an entrepreneur, a husband, and a father, who loves getting the most out of life. He has spent the last two decades focused on taking business ideas and turning them into reality. Ryan is a seasoned and proven leader as CEO, chairman, philanthropist, investor, and key visionary, leading companies from inception to the public market
with values in excess of $1 billion. His pursuit to create success with the companies he’s founded has led to him being awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award by Ernst & Young two times.
Previous to devoting his life to Dosh, Ryan launched Solavei. The vision of Solavei was to positively impact millions of people by enabling them to engage with the social commerce platform and obtain, then share the services such as mobile with their friends and family. Solavei was named a top 100 technology company in North America by Red Herring magazine. Solavei was acquired in late 2015 and much of the innovative technology continues to be used by other companies globally. Before Solavei, Ryan founded Motricity and spent a decade building it into a global leading mobile data services provider to the world's largest mobile operators such as AT&T, Verizon, Reliance, Axiata and Telefonica. Motricity had investors such as NEA, TCV, and Intel, and went public in 2010, obtaining a market value that exceeded $1 billion.
Ryan is passionate about giving back in his business efforts and in his personal life. For the last 11 years, Ryan has served on the board of the Miss America Organization which is one of the nation’s leading achievement programs and the world’s largest providers of scholarship assistance for young women. He is honored to call Miss America 1996, Shawntel, his wife. He and Shawntel are passionate about philanthropic causes that they support through their family foundation, such as digging water wells in Central African Republic, orphanages in Haiti and Belize, and education for those who need assistance. Ryan is an avid runner who has run over 45 marathons, including 9 Boston Marathons. He uses his Dosh to take his wife and boys on special trips, and buy feed for his Texas longhorn, five goats, and two donkeys!
