William (Bill) Margaritis is Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs for Hilton Worldwide and oversees corporate branding, internal and external corporate communications, government relations and corporate responsibility globally. He joined Hilton Worldwide in 2015.
Previously, Mr. Margaritis spent nearly 16 years at FedEx Corporation, where
as Senior Vice President, Global Communications and Investor Relations, he led strategic repositioning and rebranding communications programs through integrated customer and employee campaigns. He was also the architect of the Purple Promise, an award-winning employee engagement initiative to create a common rallying platform for employees across multiple operating companies around the globe.
Prior to FedEx, Mr. Margaritis was in London, UK, with Bechtel Corporation and worked for Occidental Petroleum Corporation. He also served as a Special Assistant for Intergovernmental Affairs in the Office of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Malcolm Baldrige, in the Reagan Administration, and was the deputy director for the Reagan-Bush 1984 Presidential Campaign in Michigan.
Mr. Margaritis holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from Michigan State University and is a past chairman of the board of the Arthur W. Page Society, the professional association of chief communications officers.
